Project

The TheiaXR project aims to implement multimodal extended reality interaction design and technology in mobile machine applications. It addresses the shortcomings of current human-machine interfaces and brings together several research and development steps pushing the current state of research. The project considers three use cases: excavators, reach stackers, and snow groomers. A core topic of TheiaXR is the advanced mixed fidelity prototyping framework that is used to connect analysis, conceptualization, and technical development activities within the multi-domain project consortium. The project aims to improve the fit between user and technology, leverage XR technologies, and improve human-machine interaction in off-highway applications to improve the interaction between operators, machines, and the environment.
